A quick departure from the Tipping Points series for some very fun announcements.
Climate Action Week Tickets Are On Sale:
I’m proud to announce that The Ocelli Group is once again participating in this year’s Climate Action Week Sydney, from March 10th-16th. We believe Sydney should be playing a leading role on global climate stage, and have been blown away by the initiatives and impact-oriented action well-underway already.
This year’s Climate Action Week Sydney (CAWSYD25) aims to focus on the positive contributions we make at the individual, company and industrial level in response to the many global climate challenges we face in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region.
The CAWSYD25 programme highlights the large leaps forward already being achieved in technology, sustainability, investment, and policy. There are several areas where Ocelli can make a real impact and our participation is a testament to our commitment to Australia leading in a decarbonised future.
How you can get involved?
Easy.
First, attend the panel I’m moderating at the UTS Great Hall (Net Zero Collaboration and Partnerships: But How?). I’ve included further details below as it’s always great to see friendly faces in the audience (as long as you’re in the first 10, my eyesight doesn’t normally make it any further than that).
Second, explore the full Climate Action Week Sydney 2025 program with 200+ events and join conversations that are already driving change.
Finally, share any events you’re attending with your networks on LinkedIn and social media using hashtag #CAWSYD25 to help spread the word. Your participation matters—whether it’s attending an event, sparking a conversation at work, over a coffee, or sharing our commitment with your network #itscooltocare
The momentum is real, as is the opposition. Time to get crackin’.
Climate Action Week Sydney: Net Zero Collaboration and Partnerships panel
I am thrilled to share the panel I’ll be moderating at Climate Action Week Sydney in the UTS Great Hall at 2:30pm on Tuesday, 11th March. I have the pleasure of being joined by three climate leaders onstage:
Liz Courtney - Award-Winning International Film Director and Climate Action Week Sydney Co-organiser
Dr. Fraser Thompson - co-founder and Managing Partner, Cyan Ventures;
Beth Dowe - Executive Director, Climate Leaders Coalition
We’ll explore their own experiences heading up multi-stakeholder partnerships, as well as the serendipitous crossovers they share, which I believe illustrate why they’re each leaders in collaboration. As the commercial and scientific urgency of climate action increases, the collaborative frameworks required for success are also being forced to evolve.
Come and learn about how you can implement similar advancements to generate success in your own work.
Podcast Appearance: Leaders Lounge - Digital Sustainability
I’m happy to share my recent interview for Leaders Lounge, with Simon Cohen from Cohesis. We spoke about the intersection of digital sustainability, ESG, and compliance—and why it’s not just an ethical concern for organisations, but a business necessity.
We covered the financial implications of climate risk, AI and digital transformation as drivers for sustainability, the evolving role of CFOs in sustainability strategies and how networks can only grow through collaboration.
Kinda like this:
Costa Rica’s Constitution:
Article 50 under Title V. Social Rights and Guarantees is pretty cool. Shouldn’t be so groundbreaking.
It states:
“The State will procure the greatest well-being to all the inhabitants of the country, organizing and stimulating production and the most adequate distribution [reparto] of the wealth.
All persons have the right to a healthy and ecologically balanced environment. For that, they are legitimated to denounce the acts that infringe this right and to claim reparation for the damage caused.
The State will guarantee, will defend and will preserve this right. The Law will determine the responsibilities and corresponding sanctions.”
Until next week
Dan
